Woodcote’s School Uniform

In September 2015, the School Council and Governors decided to consult children and parents about introducing a new school uniform; they wanted a brand new logo that to be designed by our children, representing our school and what it means to be part of Woodcote. After much deliberation and discussion, the School Council and the Governors  chose a winning logo. Our School Council were amazing! They held in-depth, thought-provoking discussions about the pros and cons of the different ideas and designs, and made very reasoned decisions. Several adults, both governors and staff, were present during the discussions and all commented on how mature and sensible the children were. We were really proud of the children throughout the whole process and I’m sure that there must be future politicians within our school!

We had some brilliant designs but it was Esme, who was in Year 6 at the time, who designed our logo; we thought that her logo design was a fantastic representation of our school.

Mr Jackson, our lovely graphic designer, worked hard to put Esme’s ideas into a useable logo for our school. As a school, we would like to thank him for the many voluntary hours that he gave to help our school and develop the design.

As a reminder:

  • As the children enter Key Stage 2 (Years 3), they will receive their first school tie as a gift. Further ties can be purchased from the school office. Clip-on and elastic ties are available as well as a traditional tie.
